BTOG 2018 Poster Information:  You are invited to submit original, previously unpublished research or audit carried out by your department or group as a poster abstract to BTOG 2018.  Nurses will be welcome to submit poster abstracts previously submitted to NLCFN 2017 (please note posters submitted to NLCFN 2017 are not automatically submitted to BTOG 2018 - you must submit separately).   All submissions will be asked to declare if the abstract has been presented at another meeting.  Submissions for poster abstracts are open to all health care professionals involved in thoracic oncology treatment, care or research.  

Topics:  Basic Science; Diagnosis & Staging; Lung Cancer Systemic Therapy ; Small Cell Lung Cancer; Radiotherapy; Surgery; Mesothelioma; Clinical Networks & Pathways; Nursing and Allied Health Professionals; Supportive Care; Trials in Progress; Case Reports; Other.

Encore Abstracts:  

BTOG’s position is as follows:

1. the abstract/poster must not have been previously published (in original or amended form)

2. with the exception of NLCFN (see above), an abstract/poster submitted/presented at another conference and then submitted to BTOG must contain additional information or data to the original and the previous submission/presentation must be declared on the submission.

Printed Poster Information: The maximum poster size is A0, in portrait format (posters over this size or in landscape format will not be displayed).   It is not possible to display landscape posters.  You or someone you nominate must register and attend BTOG 2018 to display your poster. To confirm that posters should be displayed for viewing on Thursday and Friday and that there is no formal poster judging/viewing session - poster presenters can stand at their poster during poster viewing (break) times if they wish to, although this is not compulsory.

Abstract Information:

Abstract maximum 300 words plus 1 diagram, table, graph or picture can be attached to your submission. Please note images will be reproduced in black print only in the abstract book, therefore please ensure the diagram, table, graph or picture is readable in black print only.

Abstract guide: 

Authors Names: Please list in order of Author and include organisation / institute for each.

Introduction: or Background: A brief statement on the purpose of the original research or audit. 

Methods: The methods of the research or audit. 

Results: A summary of the results, including sufficient details to support the conclusions. 

Conclusion: A statement concerning the significance of the research or audit and its implications for further research (if applicable). 

Poster Prizes: Will be announced at the conference dinner on Thursday.
