*Postponed* BTOG Essential Update: Optimising your lung cancer pathway and MDT

*POSTPONED* Monday 4th May, 2020

In light of the situation with COVID-19 BTOG has taken the decision to postpone this Essential Update until later this year/early next year.

The Steering Committee Chair, Steering Committee Lead for this meeting, and the BTOG Trustees discussed this in detail and carefully considered the options. BTOG took account of the fact that NHS services may be challenged more than usual meaning NHS staff will need to provide essential service cover in their NHS trusts.

This Pathway & MDT Essential Update is an important and relevant topic and BTOG is committed to providing the Update at a later date.

We will be in touch once we have set a new date. BTOG apologises for any inconvenience and thanks you for your understanding.

Optimising your lung cancer pathway and MDT

The Lung Cancer Pathway & MDT has evolved significantly over the last 20 years with new challenges and opportunities each year – ranging from the introduction of new treatments, models of care, unwarranted variation, workforce pressures and demand management.

MDT members and leaders across all disciplines and grades of staff looking after people in the lung cancer pathway will need to share ideas and experiences to adapt and evolve their services.

This course will bring together faculty and participants who contribute to lung cancer services, including  MDT coordinators, managers, nurses and doctors, to consider how to optimize their MDT and pathway.

BTOG Essential Updates
For catering and organisation purposes, BTOG asks that all attendees register in advance.  BTOG provides free registration for Essential Updates for health care professionals to encourage attendance and to support Continuing Professional Development.  You can cancel your registration at an Essential Update up to 28 days before without penalty.  If you cancel your registration less than 28 days in advance and do not nominate another health care professional colleague to take your place or do not attend on the day, then you will be charged a fee of £75 to cover the cost of your place at the Essential Update and an invoice will be issued in this respect.   This will include cancellations or non-attendance due to travel difficulties or other matters that are out of BTOG’s control.
