Sustainability

BTOG tries to balance the key activities to support its mission and vision with the environmental impact of those activities and recognises the importance of sustainability.  BTOG’s Sustainability Policy is available here and this policy is reviewed annually.  As part of this, refreshments and lunch at the ICC Belfast on Thursday will be plant-based.

The venue for BTOG 2023, the ICC Belfast,  has been awarded a Green Meetings Silver Award, reflecting their investment in sustainability and commitment to the development of a sustainable tourism plan, in line with Belfast’s transformational resilience strategy; and supported through a city wide sustainable Green Tourism partnership funded by Belfast City Council and delivered by Visit Belfast.

The ICC Belfast Environmental Goal - Environmental | View our Plan to Protect the Future | ICC Belfast

The ICC Belfast prioritises its local, sustainable supplier ecosystem. From farm to fork, they have an environment of transparency and drive for excellence not just with their partners, Hospitality Belfast, but with the suppliers they work with to curate conference menus.  Each supplier has been chosen carefully by Hospitality Belfast to align with ICC Belfast’s sustainability goals.
