
British Thoracic Oncology Group (BTOG) is a UK lung cancer and mesothelioma research group. The principal aim of BTOG is to encourage the development of clinical and scientific research in all areas of Thoracic Oncology. BTOG aims to achieve this through multidisciplinary membership; holding an annual conference; holding specialist study days and providing a website. All individuals involved in any aspect of lung cancer or mesothelioma research, care or treatment are eligible to become members of the Group.
BTOG are a not for profit organisation within the NHS. BTOG is kindly hosted by UHL NHS Trust and is based at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester. BTOG does not receive any funding from the NHS and at present receives financial support through sponsorship and research and educational grants from industry.
